We had 26 students in BJJ 101 class tonight! We’ve consistently had a great turnout and everyone is improving significantly. Our new training room should be finished by the end of the summer and we’re looking forward to expanding the schedule with even more classes! Keep it up guys!

AWESOME night of training at NJ United Mixed Martial Arts tonight. 2011 Mundial World Championships Bronze Medalist JT Torres stopped in to train and many NJU students at the CAP Gi class got the honor to roll with him. It’s always a pleasure and an honor to have one of the best Brazilian Jiu Jitsu Black Belts in the WORLD stopping in to train at NJU. I learn something new every time JT stops by.

We had a great evening of class at NJ United Mixed Martial Arts. Our Little Ninjas and Little Spartans were really work hard on their jiu jitsu lately and it’s great to see the improvements in everyone. BJJ 101 class was packed with 26 students working their defense and escapes from the bottom side control position. Muay Thai kickboxing class also had 20+ students getting some awesome technique and training in with Chris Jones. Keep up the great work guys!

Check out the video of the 2012 NJ United Mixed Martial Arts Annual Awards Party at “The Village Inn” in Wayne, NJ. We had a great turnout for the event and I’m really looking forward to the continued team success for the end 2012 and beyond. As a team we’ve grown tremendously over the past year. The classes have been packed more than ever and in 2011 our NJ United Jiu Jitsu Competition Team had great success also with 37 students enter jiu jitsu tournaments bringing home an amazing 41 medals! Our students performed extremely well with numerous students medaling twice in the same tournament (gi and no gi).

This card should be amazing and the main event is one of the biggest rematches in the history of the UFC. Happy 4th of July everyone! We will be having 10am BJJ 101 class in the morning. All evening classes will be cancelled in celebration of the holiday.

NJ United MMA student Sean wins $100 CASH and a pair of NJU MMA gloves for bringing two new members into the NJ United MMA family. Also after BJJ 101 class today, NJU student Matt won a FREE private lesson while Little Spartans student Dakota won a FREE pair of  NJU MMA gloves.

We had 12 guys on the mats training on Friday afternoon at NJ United MMA. The afternoon BJJ 101 classes have been steadily growing every week. Keep it up guys!
