Need A New Years Fitness Resolution? | 30 FREE Days

New Years Fitness Resolution

It’s that time of the year again!  It’s time where everyone sets “goals” for the coming year and the truth is, most of these “goals” end up being just dreams. So do you have your New Years fitness resolution yet? With the list of failed workout programs and unsustainable diet plans growing every day, many people are getting frustrated with the monotony of the same old gym routine. There is one lacking ingredient in these “fad” workouts that inevitably leads to failure, and that ingredient is…. FUN! Many students say that coming to class at NJ United Mixed Martial Arts is what they look forward to most in their day. If you’re in the Montclair, Clifton, or Totowa area, then you owe it to yourself to try our program.

Mixed Martial Arts training is the only workout where you can achieve your fitness goals while actually enjoying your workout. The “fun factor” is what makes MMA training such an effective fitness program. There is no greater stress reliever than unleashing some Boxing or Muay Thai kickboxing combinations while you shed some pounds. Try our jiu jitsu classes and experience the total body workout of the martial art that is known as “human chess.” We’re so confident that MMA training is going to be the new years fitness resolution that allows you to reach your personal goals that we will give you 30 FREE days to try our classes, with no strings attached. Check out this quick video of our academy.

“Nothing in the world can take the place of Persistence. Talent will not; nothing is more common than unsuccessful men with talent. Genius will not; unrewarded genius is almost a proverb. Education will not; the world is full of educated derelicts. Persistence and determination alone are omnipotent. The slogan ‘Press On’ has solved and always will solve the problems of the human race.”

Demian Maia Highlight

The UFC is filled with many talented Brazilian Jiu Jitsu practitioners, but few have the credentials of middleweight Demian Maia. As just about every Mixed Martial Arts fighter trains BJJ, fans often debate who the best grappler is in the world of MMA. One of the most commonly mentioned name is the Brazilian Jiu Jitsu Black Belt from Sao Paulo, Brazil. Enjoy this highlight video of the technician himself…

Jacare Highlight

In 2004 as a blue belt in jiu jitsu I competed in the Mundial World Championships in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.  To this day it was one of the most amazing experiences of my life.  It stands out in my memory as one of my favorite experiences in my journey in the martial art of Brazilian Jiu Jitsu.  I gained invaluable experience competing at a time when the World Championships of Brazilian Jiu Jitsu were still held in Brazil, the “motherland” of the art.

Aside from the amazing time I had testing my skills against other athletes from around the world, I was able to witness one of the most amazing BJJ competitors work his magic. Ronaldo “Jacare” Souza was a buzz saw, running through just about every competitor he faced, demonstrating a wide array of takedowns, guard passing, guard work, and submissions. Jacare went on to win the GOLD in the Black Belt Open weight class, which had no weight limit. His domination would continue for years bringing home multiple BJJ World Titles and ADCC World Championships. This set up Jacare’s entrance into the world of Mixed Martial Arts.
