AMAZING JT Torres Seminar

Awesome seminar taught by our good friend JT Torres! It’s true that JT is one of the best black belt competitors in the WORLD, but what most people don’t realize is that he’s also a great teacher. He has a great understanding of the technical aspect of jiu jitsu, and he’s clear and precise with every single detail. We went over some great guard passing techniques and a few sneaky chokes that work really with off the pass. I personally can’t wait to practice what I learned tonight. That’s what makes jiu jitsu such an amazing art, even after 9 years of training and competing in different parts of the world there’s still so much to learn!

There are few jiu jitsu athletes in the WORLD that have credentials even remotely similar to the Champ! As a Black Belt at only 23 years of age, JT is already a 2009 IBJJF No Gi World Championships Silver medalist, 2010 IBJJF No Gi World Championships Bronze medalist, 2011 IBJJF World Championships Bronze medalist, and an ADCC veteran (2011). JT is also a 2009 IBJJF No Gi Pan Ams Silver medalist, a 2010 IBJJF No Gi Pan Ams GOLD medalist, and a 2010 Brazilian National Silver medalist. All of the aforementioned accomplishments were at the Black Belt level at the worlds toughest tournaments. It’s an honor to have JT share his technique with everyone at NJ United MMA!
