Here are some pictures of the progress at the new gym. We are looking forward to starting classes by the end of June!!!

It is OFFICIAL, NJ United Mixed Martial Arts will be moving down the street to Totowa, NJ.  The new location will only be 4 minutes from the old gym.  We will be moving into a 3,680 square foot facility, almost 4 times the size of our previous spot.  We will also be adding 1,000 square feet of mat space to our current area as well as a new area for weights, a front desk, and a pro-shop!!! I also would like to send a special thank you to every single one of my students for making this move possible, without you guys none of this would be possible…

The next jiu jitsu/grappling tournament will be the NAGA: Battle at the Beach XII on August 6th and 7th in Wildwood, NJ.  Saturday, August 6th will be for all adult divisions while Sunday, August 7th will be for the kids and teens. Anyone interested in competing must speak with Jay and should be making their decision by the end of this week so they have enough time to prepare. All competitors must register their team name for the tournament as: Lloyd Irvin / NJ United MMA

Here is a video from Grapplers Quest in Hartford, CT in 2010.  It is the finals of the Black Belt absolute division featuring fellow Team Lloyd Irvin Black Belt JT “Spiderman” Torres. More recently JT won the Bronze medal at the 2011 Mundial World Championships!!! Enjoy the match….

Big Congratulations to everyone that competed at Grapplers Quest on Saturday in Morristown, NJ. I was very impressed by everyone that competed. NJ United Mixed Martial Arts brought home 6 medals!!!! Here are the results:
