Along with the amazing “life skills” that your child will gain in our classes, there is also a very important self defense and anti-bullying aspect of our childrens martial arts program. Our kids learn how to protect themselves utilizing techniques from Brazilian Jiu Jitsu, Muay Thai kickboxing, judo, wrestling, and boxing. In todays Little Ninjas class we worked on checking leg kicks and following up with a nice two punch combination. Then we worked on our “O Soto Gari” judo trip and then drilled our takedowns. We also played some fun games of red ninja/black ninja and tug of war which is always a great time! The Little Spartans practiced a nice counter to a body kick and drilled taking the back. We got some good live taking the back escape drills and some nice live rolls in at the end of class. We finished off the night with a fun game of horse!
