Congratulations Jared Weiner!!!

Congratulations to Jared Weiner for winning his Black Belt division at the Chicago Open this weekend. For those of you who don’t know who Jared is, he is Master Lloyd Irvin’s first ever Black Belt in Brazilian Jiu Jitsu. He is the owner and head instructor (along with Wilson Reis) of BJJ United in Philadelphia, PA, and is a very accomplished competitor. Jared and Master Lloyd Irvin promoted me, JT, and Mike Easton to Black Belt in June of ’09 at BJJ United. Here he shows a nice takedown that you can do with the kimono. Jared is one of those old school Brazilian Jiu Jitsu Black Belts that also has good Judo skills. Enjoy….
